Only a Shaolin soccer team can win a quadruple, Liverpool learns the hard way
It was a glorious day in football as Liverpool got knocked out the FA Cup quarter final by Manchester united.
Manchester United unexpectedly had the first goal in the early minutes of the game but as the half time whistle got blown, they were trailing 2-1.
It was a night of surprises, Anthony scored for Manchester United equalising 2-2 and sending all doomsday preppers into their bunkers as they thought the apocalypse has finally arrived.
The equaliser from Anthony was enough to see Manchester United into added extra time and the possibility of penalties.
However Elliott slotted the ball nicely in the bottom corner beating Andre Onana and again taking the lead, 2-3.
Who else but Sir Marcus Rashford, in the dying minutes, Rashford equalised 3-3 and kept the hopes alive as the match became more and more interesting. The Red Devils had to just force the humble pie down Liverpool’s throat, a late Amad Diallo- Garnacho goal saw Liverpool finally losing 4-3.
At a time when Liverpool fans bragged on winning the quadruple, Manchester United has once again saved football and like the Avengers fended off a strong Thanos.
As United have done their part, the baton stick will now be handed over to Bayern Leverkusen and Tottenham Hotspur to deliver justice.
