Allan M.Gumbodete born (7August1998) professionally known as A Martin is a recording Zim Hip Hop & Afro Pop artist, song writer ,actor &beat composer. He was born and partially raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. A Martin grew up listening to musical legend such as the late Tupac, Notorious B.I.G, Nas, Oliver Mtukudzi & Jay Z amongst other artists. A Martin was inspired by what was happening around him, the homeless people in the streets, the ones working hard but not getting what they deserve, the accidents and political issues. He started writing music when he was 12 years old but started professional recording when he was 16.

A Martin is a Zim Hip Hop artist whose music has been consistently improving ever since he made up his mind that he would forge a musical career. His determination and work ethic are impressive and have carried him to where he is today. When people criticize other hip hop artists in the country for singing songs devoid of good meaning ,A Martin excuses himself from that. His music is always aimed at conveying an important message in society, by using various techniques of rap music, at times blended with RnB. His first song titled ‘Magariro’ showed how he is compelled to push an important message to society. Because of his good work ethic, his music exudes the same. He implores people not to be lazy, but to work and never to give up. This is clear in songs like ‘Kushanda’, ‘Life is a Journey’ and ‘Hupenyu Irwendo’. He is an artist aware of what’s happening around him, he is socially consious.
